Diatriba de amor contra un man sentado - Love tirade against a seated man

April 17, 2024 marks the tenth anniversary of the death of Colombian writer and Nobel Prize winner Gabriel García Màrquez.
On this occasion, UnserTheater honors him and performs the only play he wrote:
Love tirade against a seated man – Diatriba de amor contra un hombre sentado
Two versions are presented on stage: Spanish and for the first time in German.
Two languages, two actresses: Arianna Vogelsang, Colombian living in Madrid, for the Spanish part
and Barbara Maria Messner from Munich for the German part. Musician is Shango Deli.

Reckoning of a love.
Garcia Marquez said “It is not what we have lived that is life, but that what we remember and how we remember it in order to tell the story.”
We encounter a woman, a man, a life in all its contradictions, both female and male.
With all the disappointments and absurdities of a great love, Rebellion and conformity, loneliness and longing,
and the feeling that your life is running away. Zack, twenty years have passed.
The piece is born from the experience of Gabriel Garcia Marquez Latin American soul.
There are attitudes to life, characters and humor that are familiar in Latin America,
but in German it only causes a lack of understanding. Dealing with cultural differences is an important part of the rehearsal process.

Try it out
This workshop provides a basis for working with SourceTuning and is the prerequisite for participating in all other workshops and coaching sessions with one of the SourceTuning coaches.
A working role can be used to try out how quickly and deeply you can immerse yourself in a character using this technique. Since source tuning does not have to be learned over many years to achieve exciting results, the potential of this technique becomes apparent the first time. SourceTuning uses physical intelligence as a reliable and precise source of inspiration and makes it possible to physically feel a role biography and its effects with little time and space instead of conceptualizing it with your head. Advantage: The body "thinks" complex, but not complicated.
This workshop is aimed at professional artists of all disciplines to get to know the technique of source tuning and to get an insight into the many different possibilities it offers.
The workshop is planned in german language, but you could work your role in english or maybe your mothertongue.
